Fyodor, a proud Russian Blue cat, is displaced from his luxury home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, during a flood. He escapes to a feral cat colony on the banks of the Mississippi.
The colony has an election involving a hefty outspoken ginger tomcat and a crafty female tabby. All hell breaks loose as the election proceeds. Issues involve immigrant cats moving into the colony, the roles of males and females, color prejudice and sexual issues.
