From Victim to Victor : Cherie White
From Victim to Victor: A Survivor’s True Story of Her Experiences with School Bullying, How She Overcame, Won Back Her Confidence and Found Peace and Happiness
Geared toward the YA audience, “From Victim to Victor” is a brutally honest, chronological account of the torment suffered at the hands of my classmates and the lack of support received from bystanders, school staff and family during my last six years of school. It is also a record of how my harassers justified their behavior which allowed them to avoid detection and accountability, the blame I took for everything that was happening to me, and the cumulative affects it had on my self-esteem and personality.
I go on to tell of the downward spiral to an attempted suicide at age fourteen, the eventual school transfer and the final realization that the torment long suffered was no reflection on myself but on the twisted and narcissistic personalities of those whom chose to bully someone not originally from the small town.
The manuscript was woven from several old daily journals written as a teenager during that terrible time and had for years been put away. This story was very difficult to write, as it brought back a flood of painful memories.
This memoir was written not only for the therapeutic and cathartic benefits it provided, but also to provide encouragement for the millions of young people whom are bullied today. As you likely know, the statistics of young people being bullied and the suicide rates of these kids today is astronomical!
It is my hope that this book will help bullied and marginalized youth see their own value and the good they bring to this world, despite what others may tell them. It is also my goal that it will provoke them to think before deciding to end their lives and/or the lives of others. My intent in writing this piece is to be a living testimony to bullied victims everywhere that if they stick it out and go on living, life will get better…much better and they too can go on to live normal lives of success, peace and happiness.
Success can come from struggle! Growth can come from pain!
Advice For Young People : Bill C. Braden
Advice For Young People: A Peek Into Your future
340 pages jam packed with good information for readers of all ages.
Young People What Will Your Future Be Like? Read This Book.
Young People, what will your future be like? No one can foresee the future, so how can I claim to predict your future? In the 1950’s, one of Doris Day’s greatest hit songs was “Que Sera, Sera.” The song went like this: “Que sera, sera, the futures not ours to see. “Que sera, sera.” Each verse would ask questions about the future: “Will I be rich? Will I be famous?” Then the chorus would reply: “The futures not ours to see. “Que sera, sera.” The theme of this song is both true and false. We cannot know the details of what will happen in our lives. However, we can look forward to a rewarding and meaningful life, if we have the wisdom and character – mindset, willpower – to make it happen.
One look at the table of contents and you will see that this book has substance. It mentions and offers advice on the majority of life’s most difficult questions.

Kleptomaniac : Dr. Frank Chase Jr, Th.D
Kleptomaniac: Who’s Really Robbing God Anyway?
KLEPTOMANIAC, Who’s Really Robbing God Anyway is a trek through the pages of the Bible to find the untwisted truth about the centuries-old teachings on tithes and offerings. Every page of this book has information that will make you become an analyst in getting to the bottom line of what tithing is in the Old and New Testament. It takes you on a journey to first define the word tithe and then breaks down the differences between giving and tithing as the Bible instructs. The author attempts to expose what most people believe as fact to bring them to what the Bible actually teaches when it comes to true giving.
Are the arguments put forth today about tithing fact or fiction? This book tackles tough questions like, did God ever require a tithe of money? Was the contents of the tithe always money in the Bible? Who is really robbing God today? Did God change the tithe at some point in biblical history? Are first fruits money? Is the tithe food, money or both? Is the church the storehouse? Did Jesus, Paul and the Disciples tithe? Did the early church honor a money tithe system? Are Christians really cursed for not tithing ten percent of their income? These questions will be answered based on scholarship, the land, the language and the literature of the original Biblical people. Not only will questions be answered for those confused about whether or not they are required to pay ten percent of their income to any religious institution, readers will learn what the Bible teaches about money and stewardship in the interest of seeking truth.
Monetary tithing has been taught as an undisputed fact in churches for centuries. Kleptomaniac: Who’s Really Robbing God Anyway challenges that assumption and puts modern tithe teachings under the microscope of scripture. This book examines the word tithe from the original Hebrew language and presents the authentic meaning of the orthodox term based on the land, language and literature of the Hebrew people.
For church-goers who are tired of being told they rob God of tithes and offerings every Saturday and Sunday, and that God requires a tenth of their income until death, this new book opens the biblical scroll and shines a light on the truth of scripture by debunking centuries-old tithe doctrines, which say a tithe is ten percent of a person’s income. The author also explains why many church-goers are not the ones who really rob God. But exposes who the real God robbers are in this shocking tithe manifesto. Kleptomaniac: Who’s Really Robbing God Anyway is an educational book that tackles the religious taboo subject such of monetary tithing and presents information about an under-saturated subject in the book world concerning tithing. This book is a scholastic, theological work and should be read by anyone who has skepticism about the truth and accuracy of the modern monetary tithe system that is not contained on the pages of the Bible.
The message of the book is that ten percent of a person’s income does not represent a biblical tithe. The biblical tithe has always been edible items. A monetary tithe of ten percent represents a tax for religious purposes. A true biblical tithe is narrowly limited to food and clean animals from inside the land of Israel. Also, true biblical tithing was never extended to crafts or trades, and since Jesus was never a farmer, nor headsman, he was not required to tithe.

Misheard Lyrics : Mike Ellsworth
Misheard Lyrics: What if everything you heard was wrong?
Misheard Lyrics is an irreverent and often hilarious novel about misheard lyrics, religion, messiahs, friendship, and the nature of the universe.
The two main characters are Charles and Chip. Charles is a writer who is attempting to write his first novel who was raised Catholic but rejected the church by age 12. Chip is a Methodist minister with a profane and rebellious streak that almost prevented him from graduating from divinity school. Both are looking for answers.
The novel combines magic, dream and reality, and important dualities include humanity and divinity, good and evil, dream and reality, and love and power.
Each chapter title involves a misheard song lyric and many are discussed in context throughout the novel. The book alternates Charles’ attempts at starting his book with the pair’s discussions about the book and religion in general as well as biographical flashbacks from Charles’ life that feature other characters. Edie was Charles’ girlfriend back in 1975. PSTD from her tour in Viet Nam as a photographer for Look magazine complicated their relationship. Karen was Charles’ wife until her lesbian romance with Munch caused their divorce and Charles’ subsequent hatred of gays. Steve was Charles’ piano virtuoso friend reduced to bankruptcy and working odd jobs. Poet Allen Ginsberg also appears as Charles’ mentor.
As Charles searches for answers, he leads us through various religions and possible Apocalypses. And as he completes each chapter, he gets together with Chip, with whom, after much obscene byplay, he discusses some of the theological issues. Along the way, Charles starts suspecting that he may exist only for the entertainment of the Viewerverse, a pan-dimensional audience watching a cosmic reality show, of which he is the star, and which finds his misfortunes hilarious.
It’s kind of like Even Cowgirls Get the Blues meets My Dinner with Andre, but with swearing.
