Caveat Emptor : Devon De’Ath
Do you believe a house can have a soul?
If you had asked that question to David Holmes back in 1985, it might have given him pause. The next three decades of his career as a Dorset estate agent, provided a very definite answer.
Meoria Grange is an impressive manor, built around the time of the English Civil War. It stands sentinel atop the Wessex Ridgeway, occupying a site of historical importance dating back into the mists of British antiquity.
When a family move in to renovate after a tragic fire, horrific outcomes draw David ever closer to their disturbing source.
Similar repetitions unfold each time he instigates another sale, until a very personal impact causes him to seek out some answers once and for all.
How can pure love and abject horror exist together with such inexplicable harmony?
Nevermere and The Lychgate by Devon De’Ath are also on Whizbuzz Books.

Hidden Agenda : Aqua Blue
The first story is an Erotic Lesbian encounter between Mei Ling and me. It takes place at my two-bedroom condo in Mission Hills, California. I picked Mei Ling, and a bottle of Wild Turkey Bourbon up at my local Liquor Store one Friday night after work. It turned out to be one of the most expensive bottles of Wild Turkey Bourbon I ever bought.
The second Erotic Romance also takes place at my two-bedroom Condo. It starts out with me driving home from my favorite pick-up bar in Hollywood. My prey is following close behind in his Shiny 2015 Black on Black Jeep Cherokee. He doesn’t know it yet, but he’s in for a night that he won’t soon forget.

Telling Sonny : Elizabeth Gauffreau
Two weeks before Sonny is to be married, the father he barely knew is killed in a single-car accident, an apparent suicide. His father’s family does not inform Sonny of the death, leaving it to his mother to tell him after the funeral has already taken place:
“And what was she to tell Sonny about his father’s death? What did Sonny know of his father, after all? Sonny knew what his father looked like, certainly, tall and blond, with an affable, lantern-jawed face. He even knew the basic facts of his father’s life: high school athlete, veteran of the First World War, minor vaudeville player, master salesman. As far as Sonny was concerned, his father was a man of infinite charm, a man with that enviable quality, savoir-faire. What was she to tell Sonny now?”
Telling Sonny is the story of a boy who became an afterthought, told by his mother, who once loved the vaudeville show.

Skinny House: A Memoir of Family : Julie L. Seely
A true story of perseverance in the face of ruin and a glimpse into the past of the inventive, remarkable people who gracefully ‘made it’ despite overwhelming societal and financial hurdles.
It is a granddaughter’s story about the grandfather she never met and the famous house he built in Mamaroneck, New York.
The author weaves the legacy of Nathan Seely—an ambitious carpenter who establishes a company in 1923 for the purpose of “building homes for colored people” taking part in The Great Migration. Nathan is well on his way to becoming a successful entrepreneur. He has everything a man could want…a beautiful wife, smart children and a custom-built house in the Village of Mamaroneck, along the picturesque Long Island Sound.
Nathan’s success is short-lived when the Depression of 1929 leaves him bankrupt and threatens to make his family homeless. Desperate to keep his family together, Nathan has to rebuild his life, literally, brick by brick. The skinny house he built still stands in Mamaroneck.
The author poses some intriguing questions: What do we really know about the dreams and aspirations of our ancestors? How do the decisions our grandparents and parents made generations ago, influence our lives today?
