Dilemma : Robert Graf

Dilemma : Robert GrafThe extraterrestrial, Zchaug, further complicates Ann’s efforts. She is forced to reveal Zchaug’s existence to the UN, and along with the Vatican, they proclaim First Contact to an unbelieving world.

Government agencies attempt to take control, but Zchaug refuses to talk to them, and political infighting ensues. And to add insult, a UFO cult decides Zchaug is evil and destroys Ann’s communicator.

All the while Ann assists the Vatican to prepare for the inevitable but unpredictable consequences of her discovery.

The terrorist group attacks Ann. She nearly dies, but Alex Baxter, her lover, again saves her. Ann decides to kill the terrorist leader, though she is forced into hiding, effectively trapping her. In desperation, she modifies her communicator to only verify historical events. She convinces her previous employer to mass produce it, hoping an unsuspecting public will generate the crucial data she must have.

With the aid of her communicator, Ann and Alex track the terrorist leader across the Middle-East and bring him to a fitting end.

In Dilemma, volume two of the “Window on the Past” trilogy, physicist Ann Grey continues her frustrating struggles to comprehend her quantum-entangled communicator’s impossible fact-checking ability—it cannot tell a lie.

An Unimaginable Discovery and Revelation, volume one and three of the “Window on the Past trilogy”, are also on Whizbuzz Books.

Crazy About Kurt : Will Link

Crazy About Kurt : Will LinkThe story takes place over one night in the dirtbag suburbs of Long Island and follows four teenage friends who struggle with sex, identity and the inevitability of adulthood, all against the backdrop of Kurt Cobain’s suicide.

In the vein of American Graffiti or Dazed and Confused, it is a meditation on a generation at a very specific time and place. It is steeped in pop culture, told with humor, emotion, and nostalgia.

This isn’t just a story for those 90’s kids who grew up on Tori Amos, Jurassic Park and The X-Files – it’s a story for anyone who’s ever been a teenager.

Utopia Falls : Byrne Fone

Utopia Falls : Byrne FoneWhen a series of brutal murders rocks the calm of the small upstate town of Utopia Falls, where native inhabitants–“Old Falls”–who have lived in the Falls for generations bitterly resent the “New Falls” residents–straight & gay antique dealers, artists, actors, musicians, celebrities and wealthy newcomers–who have made the once sleepy town an elegant and chic destination, Jeremy Hudson, a young writer recently arrived from New York, realizes that the method and brutality of these shocking crimes echo equally brutal and shocking crimes he has uncovered in his research into the city’s past.

It is obvious that someone has also discovered the same grim events from another time and is repeating them, determined to set Old Falls against New Falls. Whoever made that discovery must also be the murderer and Jeremy Hudson must discover who it is.

Achilles and American Revolution: A Gay Novel by Byrne Fone are also on Whizbuzz Books.

Satan’s Gut, Sausage Boats and Ice Kisses : Tony Fosgate

Satan's Gut, Sausage Boats and Ice Kisses : Tony FosgateThe Adventure Travel Notes of a Nervous Man

Calling all adventure seekers!

Ever wanted to ride the wild Colorado, fly down the Cresta run at St Moritz or stand at the North Pole? Then do it!

Here Tony Fosgate relates what it feels like to be half drowned in the “Big Drops” in Cataract Canyon, Utah, how best to avoid leaving a limb behind on the world’s most famous toboggan track and why in a life and death situation with a Polar Bear it is important to remember that its head is bulletproof.

Whether it is accidentally trying out for the British Bob Skeleton Olympic team on a concrete ice run, tying up a husky train in knots or simply waiting in a queue to get to the North Pole until the timely intervention of one Hillary Clinton, the urge to go to extremes brings with it all sorts of unforeseen consequences, a number of life lessons and sometimes a big helping of humble pie.

This wry, funny and informative look at an anxious thrill seeker’s first three outings also explains some of the background and history of the activities and places themselves. And the author is not afraid to ask some big questions: If the Colorado has so much water in it why doesn’t it ever get to the sea? Is it possible to eat in St Moritz if you aren’t a multi-millionaire? And is cheerleading statistically more dangerous than whitewater rafting?

Perhaps one question remains: why do anything so risky at all? Maybe part of the answer is in this book, probably not. All we know is that you only live once. and life should be a bit of an adventure…

Guess What I Heard Today : Annie Lang

Guess What I Heard Today : Annie LangIt started out as a beautiful day in the garden until the chatter got a bit out of control!

Find out how all the commotion unexpectedly turns this peaceful garden all topsy-turvy as the news of the day quickly spreads throughout this delightfully illustrated children’s book.

Young readers will quickly engage with Annie Lang’s vividly detailed characters and imagery as the story unfolds in the garden. It’s a timeless tale of human nature and our need to socially share everything we hear with others. As is often the case in real life, what starts as a simple observation quickly turns into a most ridiculous misunderstanding.

Guess What I Heard Today is a terrific “read it together” publication that encourages discussion about how we communicate. This is Annie Lang’s tenth published illustrated children’s book title and the first time her fun garden characters have been introduced to young readers!

Decades ago, my first-grade teacher had the class sit in a circle, whisper a sentence into the ear of the student beside us as we passed our “secret sentence” from person to person. We were totally amazed when the last person in the circle revealed a statement that in no way resembled the original message.

This is a fun way to teach kids of all ages who are now engaged in so many social media circles. It pleases me to know that this lesson in communication continues in many classrooms today. It’s also a great party game that usually ends in plenty of giggles!

Improve Attention To Detail : Chris Denny

Improve Attention To Detail : Chris DennyA straightforward system to develop attention to detail in yourself, employees, and across an organization.

This book will change the way you think about “the details”. You can improve attention to detail and this book reveals how to develop well-rounded attention to detail in yourself, in employees, and even across an organization.

Improve Attention To Detail uses simple language and moves quickly. At about 125 pages, there is no fluff. The author, Chris Denny, keeps moving and sticks to the point of the content — to help you develop and/or improve attention to detail. Whether you are focused on improving attention to detail in yourself or in others, the book’s simple and clean layout is easy to understand and identify with. We can all identify with most of the book or we know someone it directly applies to.

Chris Denny is a researcher, trainer, and consultant (as well as a business owner). He started developing the Attention To Detail Training system in 2011 when a talented employee at his company needed training to improve attention to detail. When Chris couldn’t find any valuable resources to help his employee (and his company) he began creating his own course for employees. It unexpectedly turned into a passion and in late 2016 (yes, five years later) — after hundreds of hours of research, hundreds of surveys, and numerous interviews with employees, leaders, and business owners — Chris had developed a solid and straightforward system to help people develop well-rounded attention to detail. Companies started asking him to provide training workshops so he did.

Now, this book is available to everyone. From the 3 types of attention to detail to the five fundamental elements, Improve Attention To Detail breaks the concept down into understandable chunks of actionable information. While reading it, you will find yourself saying things like, “I can’t believe I didn’t realize that before!” and “Of course! That makes so much sense now.”

Even before you finish the book, you’ll be performing better and able to help others as well.
