The Guardians

Although their situation is desperate, Helder has a plan. He has a medallion with half of an ancient prayer that will eliminate the demonic threat. The other half, unfortunately, is in Rome. Somehow they must make their way across the world to the Vatican.
As the men prepare to leave, they encounter a young woman fleeing the demons-and to Helder, at least, she is no stranger. Sita Taylor is the love of his youth, lost when his father sent him to seminary. And now she joins them on their quest to reach Rome-a love that both strengthens him and pulls him in many directions.
Along the way, the group faces danger from both pirates and demon hordes. Only time will tell whether they’ll reach the Vatican alive-or whether the answers they seek will be there if they do.

Will she lose the love of Bocaj, her childhood friend turned into sexy bad boy werewolf? That may be the least of her problems, though it will be her highest priority, when she finds vampires turning themselves into crystal-skinned abominations, and herself in the middle of the apocalypse. Part one of a planned series.

The poem titled ‘Self Portrait’ starts with the diagrammatic sketch with 7 blank pages where the reader finds only 3 words at the tail-end of the page…Here “the poet envisions in an epiphanic moment, the true nature of ones self when he wakes up, ‘to see my / Self ‘ ‘discovered beyond thought’ . Between ‘my self’ and ‘discovered beyond thought’ are five blank pages. The ineffable epiphany of ambiguous. It may either suggest the discovery of a transcendental Self beyond all thought and language or it may suggest the discovery of an Absence beyond the human thought and speech.
