No. 46 on the Greater Boston Hit List: A Murder Case with Many Twists and Turns
At age thirty-three I studied a murder case, which inspired this fictional story. I always thought it was an interesting and bizarre story and had all the ingredients for a good novel.
At age thirty-nine still playing pick-up basketball I ruptured a disk in the lower back and was advised by the doctor to lie flat on my back for several weeks. Bored out of my mind I started writing this book longhand while flat on my back.
When I recovered I had completed about fifty pages and friends who had read what I had written gave me a great encouragement and so I figured I’d resume writing the book the newt time my back went out.
Always meaning to complete the book I kept the files and news clippings despite many moves over the years. However, the next time I injured my back they no longer prescribed total bed rest, so I never got back to the book until 2018 at age eighty-one.
Now with a reverse shoulder replacement and Parkinson’s disease ruining my mediocre golf game I needed another passion so here I am as a beginning author. I liked doing it and if this book pleases some maybe I’ll try another one.
This novel is a quick read that tells about a murder which was first thought to be a gangland slaying but it became more complicated leading to a trial that produced unexpected results.
