In June 2012, the author went to the emergency room and was diagnosed with meningitis.

Days later, he lost partial consciousness, and upon regaining consciousness, he could not speak, eat, breathe independently, control bodily functions, nor move his legs.

This book is about the author’s journey to recovery from the ICU to regaining ownership of his body. It is a story of determination, of hard work, gratitude, and of drawing inspiration.
