From an Oval : Najah A. Jabbar

Izzy knows what he wants to draw. But the oval rejects the idea and takes on its own identity.

Why? Because the oval has its own idea of what it wants to be.

Still, Izzy attempts to cajole it with a ball, leash, and walk, but “quite stubbornly, the oval stuck on the page…and started grazing a path…across two pages.”
